FIRST FEMALE AMBASSADOR Filiz Dinçmen was born in 1939 in Zonguldak. After graduating from Ankara Girls High School; Dinçmen, who graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences, became the third secretary of the UN Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1961. Netherlands Ambassador to The Hague in 1982, the Council of Europe in Strasbourg in 1984 Dinçmen was the Permanent Representative of Turkey. In 1988; became the ministry’s first female deputy undersecretary and ministry spokesperson in 1991. According to Filiz Dinçmen, without the contribution of women, the country cannot develop.
